PREVENT
Avrupa Birliği Destekli Ergene Havzası Sel Erken Uyarı Sistemin Kurulumu Hız Kazandı
Uzunköprü belediyenin yürütmekte olduğu ÖNLEME projesi çerçevesinde Mart 2018’in sonuna kadar Sel Erken Uyarı sistemin tamamlanması planlanmıştır.
Tüm bu çalışmalar Avrupa Birliği destekli 15 aylık “Çevre İçin Risklerin Azaltılması ve Önlenmesi ve Yenilikçi Araç Gereçler İçin Vizyon /Önlemek projenin kapsamında yapılmaktadır. Toplam proje bütçesi: 581 483.41 EUR olup, Interreg-IPA Bulgaristan – Türkiye Sınır Ötesi İşbirliği Programı tarafından Uzunköprü ilçemize 316.515,68 EUR mali desteğin sunulması planlanmış.

Toplantıda Uzunköprü Belediye Başkanı Av. Enis İŞBİLEN açılış konuşmasında bulundu ve proje çerçevesinde Ergene Nehri ve Kırkavak Deresi üzerine kurulacak olan Sel Erken Uyarı Sistemin önemini vurguladı.
Açılış toplantısına Bulgaristan Ortağı ve Lider Proje Sahibi olan Dimitrovgrad Belediyesinin Başkan Yardımcısı Sn. Yaşo Minkov kısa açılış konusmasında Bulgaristan tarafında kurulacak olan Orman Yangınları Otomatik Gözetim Kulesi hakkında bilgiler sundu.
Toplantıda yerel medya mensuplarına ve belediye meclis üyelerine PREVENT projesi konusunda detaylı bilgiler sunuldu.
Ayrıca, etkinlikte Uzunköprü Belediyesi tarafından Avrupa Birliğinin PRAG kuralları doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilmiş olan ihale sonucunda seçilen ve erken uyarı sistemini kuracak olan tedarikçi firmayla imza töreni gerçekleştirildi. Sistemin kurulum çalışmaları Mart 2018’de tamamlanması ve gelecke senenin ikinci çereğinde sistemin açılışın yapılması planlanmıştır.
